DBC
Before you start
None of this is required. Every question in the builder already has a sensible
answer filled in, you can skip anything, and you can change all of it later, free, as many times as
you like. This is just the list that makes it go quickly.
Only two things are actually needed:
- Your business name
- The phone number you want jobs to come to
Photos — on the phone you're building on
- Your logo, if you have one. No logo is completely fine — your business name is set in
your own colors instead, and plenty of cards look better that way.
- One wide photo for the top. Skip it and a professional photo for your trade is included
at no charge.
- Five to ten photos of finished work. Before-and-after pairs do a lot of work here.
None yet? Leave it out — the section hides itself rather than sitting there empty.
- A photo of you, if you want your face on the card. Worth it for any trade where someone
is letting you into their home.
Things worth knowing before you sit down
- The towns or ZIP codes you cover.
- Your days and hours.
- What the customer needs to have ready — an outside tap, a plug, a parking spot, a gate
code. Easy to forget, and putting it on the card saves a phone call on every job.
- Your prices, if you want to show them. You don't have to: plenty of cards quote each job
instead, and you can switch either way later.
- How you want jobs to reach you — a text, an email, or WhatsApp. This is the one question
with no default, because each one needs a different piece of your information.
- Anything someone should know before booking — how far ahead you need notice, a deposit,
a minimum order.
What you don't need
- A website.
- A logo, or a designer.
- A professional photographer — phone photos are what everyone else is using too.
- An email list, a social account, or a login anywhere else.
- To finish in one sitting. Save whenever you like and we email you a link straight back to it.
Your card is live and shareable from the moment you save, finished or not.
How long it takes
See your card in a few steps. Answer a few quick questions and watch your card build
itself as you go — the preview opens partway through and fills in as you answer.
Then make it as detailed as you like: the photos, the colors, the exact words. It saves as you go,
nothing is locked in, and changing it afterwards costs nothing and takes seconds.
Your own short web address, the printable QR kit and the Monday numbers are $129 a year,
whenever you decide you want them — not before.
One more thing worth doing once your card is live: add it to your phone's home
screen so it opens like an app, with your own icon. Two taps, and almost nobody knows phones can do
it — the steps are on the home page.
