Who we are. Digital Builder Contractor (DBC) builds and hosts digital business cards for entrepreneurs and small businesses (cards live at yourname.onetaprequest.app; the builder is start.onetaprequest.com). We're a small business based in Mountain House, California, serving customers anywhere in the US.
What we collect. Only what you type or upload to build your card: your business name, phone, email, services, prices, hours, service area and photos. Your email is used to send your card links, receipts and hosting bills.
What we never collect. We never ask for passwords, bank logins or Social Security numbers. Card payments are made on Square's own secure checkout page; we never see or store your card number.
Your card is public by design. Anything you put on your card is shown to anyone with the link, because that's what a business card is for. Don't add anything you don't want customers to see.
Your customers' requests. When a customer taps Request on your card, the message goes straight from their phone to your phone or email. We don't store it.
Drafts and free cards. A card you never finished and never saved is deleted automatically, with its photos, after 14 days. Once you save a card it is a free card and we do not delete it — there is no time limit and no expiry, whether or not you ever pay. Ask us to take it down and we will.
Counting visits. Paid cards count how many times they were opened, and how many people tapped the request button, saved the contact or shared it — daily totals only, with no cookie and nothing about who visited or where they came from. The owner gets those totals by email each week; we see every paid card’s. Free cards aren’t counted. On our own two pages — the home page and the builder — we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or profiling. It never runs on anyone’s card.
AI assistant. On a card that has it, a customer's question is sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI, together with the text of that card, to write the answer. We don't store what customers type; we only count how many questions were answered. To stop one person using up a card's questions, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of their connection address for up to a day, never the address itself.
Sharing. We don't sell or rent your information. We use Square (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), Anthropic (the AI assistant, on cards that have it) and Resend (sending our emails) only to run the service.
Your choices. Ask us to change, take down or delete your card and information at any time.
